Lita Krumins Acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner

Hi, I’m Lita – an AHPRA and AACMA registered Chinese Medicine herbalist and acupuncturist (BHSc) and I’m passionate about everyone feeling a little bit better. I’m very excited to be joining the Bodyactive Health team on the 1st of May.

I’ve always been fascinated by herbs and natural remedies and grew up with the influence of complementary and alternative medicines. This led me to trying many different avenues in these fields – even working through half a degree, before being drawn to Chinese medicine.

For me, Chinese medicine incorporated all the things I enjoy about alternative therapies – the ability to use bodywork during a session to initiate the body’s innate healing, and then being able to send someone home with herbs, to continue the journey.

I really enjoy that Chinese medicine is about balance, that it works with and alongside nature and it’s seasonal rhythms, that it has a rich history dating back thousands of years and the fact that it is becoming increasingly researched and validated by empirical evidence

There are so many ways that Chinese medicine may be able to help with different issues and conditions, but what I’ve been getting passionate about is those everyday things that so many of us deal with: stress, sleep issues, nervous system dysregulation and exhaustion, menstrual disorders and digestive complaints.

Another incredible aspect of Chinese medicine is that all treatments and prescriptions are individualised and uniquely tailored to you.

Depending on why you have come in to see me, I might use acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha or herbal medicine. These tools have surprisingly vast uses – cupping can be used for muscle tension and pain, and it also may be able to help shift a lingering cold.

Working together we can come up with a plan that works for you, and incorporates diet and lifestyle advice that is manageable.

I’ll be in clinic every Thursday and alternating Wednesdays (2-8pm) and Saturdays (8-3pm). Private health fund rebates are available for all consults.

If you have any questions at all about how Chinese medicine may be able to help you, please reach out by emailing me: lita.amelija@gmail.com.

Looking forward to meeting you, wherever you are at in your health journey!

Lita.
